SNORKEL WITH SEALS BOAT TRIP
Guided snorkelling tours on the Causeway Coast for beginners, families and confident swimmers. Swim into hidden sea caves below the cliffs at Whiterocks, or take the boat out to the Skerries to snorkel through kelp forests where grey seals live. We give you a thick 7mm wetsuit with hood, gloves and boots, so you stay warm in Northern Ireland's sea, and your guide is with you the whole time.
Come and explore the amazing kelp forests of the Skerries Islands with its underwater caverns, canyons, caves and drop-offs. Diving with the curious Island seals is common and a very unique experience. These trips are also suited for swimmers and snorkelers.
This tour is suitable for complete beginners who are confident in the water. Access to the sites is by boat. Constant in-water lifeguarding and supervision provided. The boat is always close by in case you need a rest. You can also stay on the boat if you don't feel like going into the water.

Hidden away from the trodden tourist path are the true wonders of the Causeway Coast. Be wowed by the dramatic cliffs, colourful reefs, and hidden smugglers' caves. The minimum group size is two and the Minimum age is 12 ( we can take children younger than 12 if at least one supervising adult joins the session).
This tour is suitable for complete beginners who are confident in the water. Land access might involve a little scramble over rocks along a stunning cliff path.

SNORKELLING FAQ
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
You need moderate fitness and to be comfortable in the water. Beginners are welcome: your guide shows you how to use the mask and snorkel, and you can wear a buoyancy aid.
Will I be cold?
Our 7mm wetsuits with hoods, gloves and boots are much thicker than a normal summer wetsuit.
What should I bring?
Swimwear, a towel and warm clothes for afterwards. We provide the rest.
What's the minimum age?
12 for the cave snorkel (younger with a supervising adult) and 8 for the seal boat trip.
Where do we meet?
Cave snorkel: Whiterocks, near Portrush. Seal boat trip: Portrush harbour. The exact meeting point is in your confirmation email.
What if the sea is rough?
We only go when conditions are safe. If they aren't, we move you to another day or give you a full refund.
Will we see seals?
Grey seals live around the Skerries and often come to look at snorkellers, but they're wild, so we can't promise.
